Best Mexican food I've had in B.G. Nice staff too.
I'll give it 2 stars for the service and speed of food and drink delivery. The food, not so much. Not authentic mexican food. Rice and beans very bland, no flavor. The tacos were very good, but expected more for the price. I'll try it again, maybe. Only if other places are too busy or closed. Incidentally, I went for something to eat after this. Just not fulfilling at all.
Great food. Not the usual Mexican food taste from the other restaurants. The chips are crispy and the sauce has a different flavor, but it is nice!
I did not have high hopes for this restaurant going in but once we got inside it was very nice. I could have done without the loud pop music but all in all the atmosphere wasn't bad. The food is what really pushes my review to five stars. They had a full section of vegetarian meals with actual vegetables. Sometimes a cheese quesadilla or a bean burrito is all you'll find as a vegetarian in a Mexican restaurant. I'm glad to see that is not the case here. I had the vegetarian quesadilla which included peppers, mushrooms, squash, zucchini, carrot, etc. I cannot even remember all the vegetables that were included! This is absolutely my new favorite place!
Service was excellent. Some of the items we ordered had been changed since we were last here (it had been awhile) but food was still very good
The fish tacos were (and have always been) great! However, the price went up, and the portion went from 3 tacos to 2 tacos...
Only been a few times, but every time is so good.
My friend and I went on a Monday around 2:30, not busy. My first time there. I chose something easy and traditional to check the taste and quality, taco and enchilada. The food came out pronto. It wasn't hot, luke warm. The taste was American, not what it should taste like. Sorry BG, I lived all over Texas and I know how the flavor should be. I'll stick to Chuy's, they are Tex Mex.
Was visiting for our Anniversary and found this little place. Decided to give it a try. Was a great little find. Chips and Salsa were good. I had a steak quesadilla which was pretty good. However, we were trying to enjoy our night and felt extremely rushed by our waitress. It was not closing time, nor was it crowded in the least bit. Definitely didnt make for a good impression!
Garcia’s is definitely the place to go in Bowling Green for the best authentic Mexican cuisine! Best salsa, hands down. Great quesadillas, tacos, and many other real Mexican dishes. My favorite it the Xalicience Platter, with shrimp, chorizo, peppers and more!
Taco loco is the dish to try..amazing..loved it..and the service is very good.
Newly remodeled and now over priced. Less food for more $$ !!
First of all, let me say the only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 is due to some consistency issues with food temperature. Garcia's has a wonderfully authentic menu, with a VERACRUZANO and Poblano inspired selection of dishes. Just about everything on the menu is delicious. This place has the best homemade salsa in town. They also have the best guacamole in town. Make sure you order it. The margaritas are average. The dishes I would recommend are the Nachos San Luis, the Pollo Loco (trust me, this is the best Pollo Loco named dish you'll ever have from any Mexican restaurant), or the Fish Tacos.
Absolutely the best places in Bg to eat . Great service and best staff you can get! Plus the deserts and margaritas are the best
We had a very good experience here. The food was delicious!, the salsa was good but when we asked for the extra hot salsa the flavor went way up! The waiter was very attentive and friendly. We'll definitely come back...
Good service and food, nice atmosphere
Best Mexican food in Bowling Green!
Best Mexican restaurant I've been to in a long time! Reasonable priced good size servings huge variety to pick from and great service.
Food is Fantastic. Our waiter was very friendly..
Very good food! Local family owned and operated.
Food was good and waiters are very nice but it took them so long to take our order, to get our drinks, to get our food...and then we were feeling frustrated because noone seemed to have the time to bring us our bill...
Some of the best Mexican food available in Bowling Green. The entrees are a little more expensive than most of the other Mexican restaurants in town, but I think they are superior in quality and taste. Also, the portions are good as well. We've never left hungry. As an example, the Chile Relleno is delicious and enough by itself to be a meal without overeating. Chips and salsa are better than most of the competition, as is the queso. The facility is nice and clean. The staff are friendly and attentive. The location is convenient.Honestly, I've experienced nothing negative going here, other than a coworker complaining that it is more expensive than the others in town. If you go, which I recommend, just have the right expectation and you should have a good experience.
Very cute and quiet little spot! However the salsa was extremely hot lol..but the food was awesome
Delicious food; their salsa is addictive.
Disappointed..... However there are some good points about it clean staff, restaurant and restroom . Food will get a 1 🌟 not authentic taste like Walmart frozen food moreover the Rice was great .
I'm going to start by saying, if I could give it a Zero, I would have.... My husband ordered chicken fajitas and the best thing about everything that was on the plate was the sauteed onions the chicken had no flavor. Everything was bland and the black beans tasted like they had just scooped a spoonful straight from the can and onto the plate. They were so cold and everything had absolutely NOOOOO flavor. we are still hungry. Huge waste of money. Disappointed.
Nice atmosphere and apparently a loyal following by the crowd gathered at the time my meal was complete early on a Friday evening. Unfortunately nothing about the meal was a stand out for me. Getting refills on soft drinks was an effort. The cabbage on the fish tacos was the tastiest part of my food. Disappointed, as I had hoped for better.
Best Mexican food around! Super nice staff. Gorgeous restaurant! Highly recommended.
Fresh and tasty Mexican food. Little bit more expensive than other Mexican restaurants in town. Well worth the price. Anyone coming from out of town and want Mexican food, Garcia’s is a must.
Good Mexican restaurant a little pricey.
Great chips and salsa. Frozen margaritas were also very good. Fast service good food and drinks at a reasonable price.
I'm a chef who also lived in Texas for several years, and I just had the best enchiladas of my life. Slow roasted pork with a poblano sauce had me calling my ancestors. The chips are delicate, but delicious and the salsa had just the right amount of heat and tasted quite fresh. The unsweetened tea was strong and the waiter attentive with a good attitude.
A healthier option for authentic Mexican food. Garcia's has great prices with a great staff.
Ordered one enchilada for pick up at 6. Waited 45 minutes outside for my food. Left with a melted marg and underwhelming food for the price of $27. oof
It is authentic Mexican food. So I'm sure it would get four or five stars from someone who enjoyed authentic Mexican food, but myself, I'd much rather have El Mazatlan.
Came in right before closing, food and service was still top notch. Loved the Tropical Shrimp. Classy and cozy!
Honestly really disappointed with my experience here. The food came out and was cold, I got two kids meals with sweet tea and they charged 3$ each for kids drinks and 5$ a piece for the food. Making each kids meal 8$. The amount of food they gave me for my adult meal was less food then the kids food. I was charged 11$ for my steak bandido and 9$ for my chicken bandido even though there was only supposed to be a dollar difference. Although the inside dining was very clean and the customer service was great. Just don’t understand why it cost so much for kids sized portions.
Highest quality of Mexican food in Bowling Green. Very good fajitas. Great salsa (it does have cilantro), meat always tastes fresh and properly cooked.
First time there, staff was great, food was fresh and excellent, prices were good, will definitely go back.
if it was possible to give no stars I would this place was absolutely horrible all the food that we got was bland. Please don't go and waste your money!!!!
The service was excellent...food was great and the margarita on point!! Will definitely be my new spot!!
🙁🙁 There are better Mexican restaraunts in town. Food was not authentic, very bland and came out lukewarm. Would not recommend.
Very good place to eat. Friendly people
Great drinks! Ok, food was great too!!
Fast and friendly
Authentic Mexican dishes. Quality ingredients. Slightly higher priced than most of the other Mexican grills in town but worth it. Try the Tacos Barbocoa.
a little pricey. The chicken I had was actually really good. Just used to seeing prices on menu's but during this COVID19 I realize alot of restaurants need disposable menu's. Gonna change it to 4 stars and the server was very nice and attentive. Gracias😊
the margaritas make me feel a little crazy if you know what I mean
Food was delicious and plentiful. Drinks were cold and strong.
The salmon was fabulous! My husband loved the tacos! Next time in town, will sure to order from Garcia's again. We had our meal delivered to our hotel. Service excellent, right on time!
